Leg and thigh surgery
Weight changes, age and loss of skin elasticity are factors that can lead to excess skin on legs and thighs. The older we get, the looser the skin becomes. It is not always possible to train for tighter and more shapely legs based on desired results.
Excess skin can be removed by surgery. Thighplasty is usually combined with liposuction of all or part of the thigh to reduce the volume of the leg and improve its shape, and surgery to remove loose and excess skin on the thighs/legs.
Knee liposuction
Knee plastic surgery is another procedure that may be considered for those experiencing excess skin and laxity around the knee area. As with thighplasty, a knee replacement may involve a combination of liposuction to reduce volume around the knees and surgical removal of excess skin to tighten and improve the contour of the knee area.
