The treatment
IPL – which stands for Intense Pulsed Light – is a popular method for treating sagging and dull skin and for removing brown spots, burst blood vessels, age spots and unwanted hair.
What is IPL?
The effect of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is achieved by using high energy density light. Unlike laser treatments, which only use a limited wavelength of light, IPL uses a much broader spectrum. Different filters can be used to select the optimal wavelength for the treatment in question. The treatment takes place in short pulses that penetrate the skin and affect pigments or red blood cells.
