Liposuction

The treatment

Liposuction is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures. The surgery is performed by experienced plastic surgeons breaking up and removing unwanted fat and fat deposits from the body. With today’s techniques, it is possible and safe to treat, reshape and sculpt virtually any part of the body based on each individual’s conditions and wishes.

How liposuction works

We are born with a certain number of fat cells and these change size during weight gain and loss. During the operation, fat cells are removed and their number decreases locally, and they do not regenerate. The result after the operation is permanent because the fat cells that are removed do not regenerate, assuming that you are weight stable. However, the procedure is not a treatment for general weight loss and the best results are achieved in patients who have reached or are close to their ideal weight.

In order for the result to be symmetrical and even, it is important that the plastic surgery is performed correctly and accurately by experienced plastic surgeons.

Different methods of liposuction

There are different types of liposuction; classic liposuction, combination of liposuction + skin tightening with laser, Vasor liposuction and Liposculpture with fat for example to different muscle groups (this part, as well as below, we will write more about separately).
