ostomy surgery
Hereditary factors, ageing and pregnancy can cause the buttocks to lose their volume and shape. Weight loss can also affect the shape in a way that can be perceived as negative; the buttocks may feel too small, saggy, flat or lacking in curves.
Buttock augmentation has grown in popularity in recent years and can now be offered with several different techniques.
One technique involves enlarging or altering the shape of the buttocks using the body's own fat. Simultaneous liposuction of the abdomen, waist and hips gives the effect of a buttock lift. At the same time, the shape and proportion of the waist, hips, buttocks and thighs are emphasised, which can result in a fuller buttock, narrower waist and more pronounced curve. Such a procedure assumes that you have some excess fat to "take off". If you are slim and have a limited amount of fat, buttock augmentation with implants may be an option.
For some patients, a hybrid technique may also be appropriate. In these cases, our plastic surgeons combine techniques with both implants and body fat for a natural and lasting result. Hybrid procedures are always performed in 2 rounds.
