A successful clinical outcome always begins with a thorough consultation. Our specialists will assess your skin condition, sebum production and pore size. You will receive objective medical advice regarding expectations, the procedure and aftercare.
After the consultation, you have a statutory cooling-off period of at least 48 hours (which applies to aesthetic injection treatments) to allow you to decide in your own time whether you wish to give your consent.

Consultation
Medical assessment and choice of method
The therapist will carry out a thorough assessment of your skin. We will identify the areas where the pores are most enlarged or where sebum production is at its highest (often the T-zone: forehead, nose and chin).
Preparations
Preparing for a safe operation
To minimise the risk of infection, the entire face is thoroughly disinfected with chlorhexidine. If necessary, a topical anaesthetic cream may be applied before the treatment, as numerous small injections will be administered.
The treatment
Safe care at the clinic
We use extremely fine and short microneedles. The medication is injected in tiny droplets just beneath the skin’s surface (intradermally) in a dense grid pattern across the treatment area. The method is very gentle on the tissue and minimally invasive.
After treatment
Awakening and initial rest
The area is examined clinically. It is perfectly normal for the skin to become red and for small raised bumps (wheals) to appear at the injection sites. These fluid-filled bumps are usually absorbed by the skin within 30 to 60 minutes.
Recovery & healing
Self-care and convalescence guidelines
You will be given strict guidelines to follow. Do not touch your face and do not wear any make-up whatsoever for the first 12 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths and saunas for 48 hours to prevent the medication from spreading.
Monitoring & results

A voluntary follow-up appointment is always offered after 14 days to check how your skin is responding to the treatment.

Who can undergo the treatment?
To undergo medical injection treatments, you must be at least 18 years old, in good health and not be pregnant or breastfeeding. This treatment is ideal for those suffering from excessive sebum production, redness (such as rosacea-like symptoms) or enlarged pores. However, if you have an ongoing, active skin infection, this must heal completely before we can carry out the treatment.

What is the difference between traditional injections and this superficial method?
In traditional wrinkle treatment, the medication is injected deep into the muscle to restrict movement (e.g. in the frown line). With skin botulinum toxin treatment, the medication is placed very superficially in the skin (dermis). The aim is not to freeze the muscles, but to reduce pore size, sebum production and redness to create a smoother skin surface.
Will my face feel stiff?
No, that’s the main advantage of this method. As we only treat the surface layer of the skin and not the underlying muscles, you retain your full, natural facial expressions and mobility.
Is this method an effective pore treatment?
Yes, it is one of the most clinically effective methods (meso-botulinum toxin for open pores) for making pores appear to tighten and look significantly smaller, giving the skin a smoother and more ‘refined’ appearance.
Can this technology be used to treat acne?
Absolutely. By blocking the signals to the sebaceous glands, the treatment significantly reduces the overproduction of oil (sebum) in the skin. This makes the treatment highly effective for soothing oily skin and preventing new outbreaks of mild acne (meso-botulinumtoxin acne).
Is this the same as a classic glow treatment at a salon?
No. Salon treatments usually focus on exfoliating and moisturising the outermost layer of the skin (the epidermis) from the outside. This treatment is a medical procedure that uses medication to physically alter how your pores and glands behave from the inside, resulting in much deeper and longer-lasting results.
What kind of difference can I expect to see before and after?
Most patients notice that their skin becomes significantly less oily, that their pores appear smaller and that general facial redness is reduced. This results in a much smoother complexion with a natural radiance and glow.
How long will the effects of my skin-improving treatment last?
The clinical effect usually lasts for 3 to 4 months. As the medicine is gradually broken down by the body, the sebaceous glands and pores slowly return to their normal function and size.
