Risks associated with advanced facial treatments
As with all procedures that affect the body's physiology, there are medical risks. Temporary redness, swelling, and mild peeling are normal reactions, especially after microneedling or PRX-T33. There is also a risk of hyperpigmentation if the skin is exposed to UV radiation during the healing process. In rare cases, infection can occur if aftercare instructions are not followed. During the consultation, your practitioner will thoroughly outline these risks and explain how we work to prevent them.

The first step is a personal consultation with one of our skin specialists at our clinic in Stockholm or via a video call. We carry out an in-depth clinical analysis of your skin condition, measure the moisture balance of your skin, and carefully review your health questionnaire.
You will receive factual information on how the equipment and formulations interact with your cells, the recommended number of sessions, and aftercare advice. Following the consultation, a statutory cooling-off period of at least 48 hours applies to injections and chemical peels.

Does a Dermapen treatment hurt?
The pain experience is subjective. To minimize discomfort during a more intensive microneedling treatment in Stockholm, a medical topical anesthetic cream is usually applied to the skin a short while before the procedure begins.
Can you perform microneedling at home?
We strongly advise against performing microneedling at home (using so-called dermarollers). To prevent serious skin infections, scarring, and tissue damage, the treatment must be performed by trained staff using sterile single-use equipment in a clinical environment.
What does shaving the face (dermaplaning) involve?
Dermaplaning is not traditional shaving, but a gentle clinical exfoliation. Using a sterile surgical blade, dead skin cells and fine vellus hair are scraped away. The method does not trigger thicker hair growth, but leaves the skin very smooth and highly receptive to subsequent products.
How does PRX-T33 work on pigment spots?
PRX-T33 is a needle-free TCA peel that penetrates into the dermis and stimulates cell renewal and collagen production without causing severe surface peeling. The course of treatment can gradually even out skin tone and reduce the visibility of certain pigment spots.
What is meant by vacuuming blackheads?
This is a popular term that usually refers to the technology behind HydraFacial. The machine uses a patented vacuum technology (vortex) to painlessly extract sebum and impurities from the pores, while simultaneously infusing nutrient-rich serums.
How long does it take to recover?
For a HydraFacial, recovery is immediate and you can return to your daily routine right away. After a Dermapen treatment or stronger chemical peel, redness, tightness, and peeling usually occur during the first 2 to 5 days, during which you must be cautious with sun exposure and makeup.
