Hydrafacial i Stockholm
Are you looking for a deep facial treatment that effectively cleanses and moisturises? At The Faculty, we offer advanced HydraFacial treatments carried out by skincare specialists. We combine science and modern hydradermabrasion for safe and gentle skincare.
What is a HydraFacial?
But what exactly is a HydraFacial? It is a patented treatment system (medically known as hydradermabrasion) that renews the skin in a non-invasive way. Unlike traditional microdermabrasion, which uses crystals to physically exfoliate the skin, a HydraFacial uses a serum and vacuum suction. The system cleanses the pores of sebum whilst simultaneously infusing tailor-made, nutrient-rich serums deep into the skin. The machine is well-proven for its ability to provide an immediate moisture boost without damaging the tissue.
Our methods for deep facial treatments
We work exclusively with the market’s most tried-and-tested and scientifically proven skincare systems. When it comes to intensive hydration and exfoliation, a genuine HydraFacial machine is our primary tool.
HydraFacial (Hydradermabrasion)
This is a medically developed, multi-step procedure that combines mechanical and chemical exfoliation with automated vacuum extraction. The technique is designed to gently extract impurities and, in the next step, deliver potent serums, packed with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid, directly into the freshly cleansed skin.
Gentle approach
A fundamental principle of our skincare treatments is respect for the skin’s natural barrier. The machine’s patented Vortex technology creates a vortex effect that loosens impurities, allowing us to methodically ‘vacuum up’ blackheads and sebum without causing the friction or tissue damage that manual squeezing often does. This chemically balanced approach protects the skin’s outer layer (epidermis), making the procedure extremely gentle. It minimises recovery time and ensures that the skin’s structure is rehydrated with the utmost anatomical care.
A clinic full of expertise
Using high-tech equipment on the skin requires knowledge of dermatology and how the skin reacts. At The Faculty, your HydraFacial treatment is carried out exclusively by specially trained skincare therapists. Our practice is underpinned by an uncompromising focus on medical safety and science. You will always receive factual information about the process, so that you can feel completely at ease from the very first step through to the final result.
Price for HydraFacial
If you’re looking for the price of a HydraFacial, the cost depends on the treatment protocol (duration and amount of serum used) applied during your appointment. During your consultation, you’ll always be given a fully transparent and binding quote.

Pre-treatment consultation for HydraFacial
The first step is a consultation with one of our skin specialists. We will carry out a clinical skin analysis, discuss your skin’s moisture balance and determine which level of treatment is best suited to your skin. You will be given clear information on how the vacuum technology works and what results can be achieved.
Hydrafacial
Step by step
We have a structured and reliable process, from your initial consultation right through to the final follow-up, so that you always know what to expect.
01. Before your treatment
Preparations for safe treatment
Very little preparation is required before a HydraFacial treatment. However, we recommend that you stop using strong exfoliating products at home (such as retinol or potent AHAs) for around 48 hours before your appointment, to ensure your skin is in a stable condition.
02. The day of treatment
Safe care at the clinic
Once you’re settled in, your face is cleansed. The machine then uses a special nozzle that combines lactic acid and glucosamine to loosen the outermost layer of dead skin. This gentle exfoliation prepares the skin for the next step in the process. We use a pain-free vacuum technique. It is at this stage that the machine is methodically used to extract impurities and remove sebum from deep within the skin. The process is highly effective, causes no friction-induced redness and is often experienced as a refreshing facial massage.
03. Recovery & healing
Self-care and convalescence guidelines
Avoid the sun, sunbeds, exercise, saunas and hot showers for the first 24 hours. Always use SPF 30–50. Take a break from strong products (retinol, acids) for about a week. Focus on moisturising and soothing products. This helps the skin to recover and gives even better results and a healthy glow!
04. Monitoring & results
Medical check-up and final assessment
The whole procedure takes between 30 and 90 minutes. There is absolutely no recovery time, which means you can get straight back to your daily routine. The results are often visible straight away in the form of a clearer complexion, and we recommend a tailored skincare regime to maintain the effects.
Resultat av Hydrafacial
Deep cleansing and moisturising the skin using modern technology is a physiological process that promotes cell renewal. Unlike more invasive techniques, you often experience an immediate effect in the form of increased radiance and a smoother skin surface, as pores are unclogged and dead skin cells are removed. As the effect is determined by your individual biology and skin quality, the outcome is always unique. The treatment provides a gentle, natural enhancement of the skin’s structure, but does not achieve the extensive tightening that advanced thermal devices or surgery provide. During the consultation, we provide an honest and objective assessment of what is possible in your specific case.
Our specialists
At The Faculty, you will be looked after by an experienced team of qualified skincare therapists and registered nurses. Their extensive knowledge of skin anatomy and how different acids and serums interact at a cellular level ensures that your HydraFacial machine is used with the utmost efficiency, precision and absolute medical safety.

A major advantage of hydradermabrasion is that the method is suitable for almost all skin types, including very sensitive skin. It is ideal for those who suffer from blocked pores, uneven skin texture, dryness or a loss of radiance and want to see immediate results. During the consultation, we carry out a medical assessment. If you have ongoing, very active inflammation, open wounds or certain severe flare-ups of rosacea, we may need to postpone the treatment. As a precaution, we also adapt the serums for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Risks and complications
Compared with more invasive procedures, this technology carries very few risks. The normal physiological reactions following the treatment include very slight, temporary redness, which usually subsides within an hour. In rare cases, a temporary tightness or a temporary skin purge may occur in the days following the treatment, as impurities work their way to the surface. Our skin specialists will provide you with detailed information on what to expect and how best to care for your skin afterwards to prevent irritation.
Other treatments
In addition to deep cleansing with a vacuum, our specialists offer a wide range of skin-enhancing treatments. If you are looking for deep collagen stimulation, skin rejuvenation with Clarity II or Sofwave ultrasound could be an excellent addition. If you’d like to work on restoring lost volume or deep hydration from within, we recommend injections such as Profhilo or the classic Skinbooster.

Why consider a HydraFacial treatment?
Frequently asked questions about deep facial treatments
Frequently asked questions and answers about deep facial treatments
What is the physiological difference between manual bowel evacuation and using a machine?
When pores are squeezed by hand, this causes direct mechanical trauma to the skin tissue (the epidermis). This can often lead to small broken capillaries, inflammation and scarring. A HydraFacial machine uses a patented Vortex technology that applies a chemically dissolving serum (such as salicylic acid) followed by vacuum suction. It gently extracts the sebum from the pore without damaging the surrounding tissue, which is why the skin rarely becomes red afterwards.
Can the treatment help with really deep acne scars?
No. Hydradermabrasion is fantastic for the skin’s surface, its moisture balance and for unclogging blocked pores. However, if you have structural acne scars – that is, indentations in the skin where collagen has broken down – methods that go significantly deeper are required, such as fractional laser (LaseMD) or medical microneedling (Dermapen) – to build up new tissue in the scar.
Does it hurt to "extract blackheads"?
On the contrary, the vast majority of people find the treatment very relaxing. The vacuum suction is adjusted to suit your skin type and often feels like a gentle, cooling facial massage. There is no heat generated or painful friction involved.
I’m looking for Hydrafacial treatments in Gothenburg, Malmö or Kungsbacka – do you offer them there?
The Faculty currently operates in Stockholm, where we offer the highest possible standards of medical care and equipment. We have many patients who regularly seek HydraFacial treatments in Gothenburg, Malmö or Uppsala, as well as from surrounding areas such as Solna, Järfälla, Sundbyberg and Helsingborg, who choose to travel to our clinic on Humlegårdsgatan to ensure that the treatment is carried out by our qualified specialists.
How often should you book a HydraFacial treatment?
As skin cell renewal takes around 28 days, we often recommend a treatment every four to six weeks to maintain an optimal moisture balance and keep the pores clear. For specific conditions, such as pronounced surface dryness, a shorter interval may be appropriate initially. Your specialist will always draw up a personalised plan during the consultation.
