What is Juläine?

Juläine is a new Swedish product used in treatment to increase the body's own production of collagen, thereby improving skin quality, elasticity and radiance.

The active substance in Juläine is a biodegradable lactic acid (poly-L-lactic acid; PLLA), which stimulates the body's own production of collagen. As we age, the production of collagen in the body decreases, leading to wrinkles, fine lines and a loss of skin volume and elasticity. Julaine's patented PLLA helps to counteract this process to provide a firmer, smoother and more youthful appearance.

PLLA has been shown to be an effective and safe substance to restore collagen production in the skin. Juläine is therefore a recommended choice for people who want to regain more youthful skin with less visible signs of ageing.

What is treated?

Juläine is usually injected into areas that need tightening and where there are wrinkles or fine lines. Common areas include the mid-face, nasolabial folds (the folds between the nose and mouth), and the lower face and around the mouth. You can also treat areas of the body such as the neck, hands and abdomen. Treatment consists of several injections, usually performed over a series of two to three sessions, approximately 6-8 weeks apart.

How long does the effect last?

After a series of Juläine injections, it can take up to six months before the final results of the treatment become visible. This is because Juläine works by stimulating the body's natural collagen production, which takes time to build up under the skin. It is important to be patient and give the treatment enough time to work. Results can last up to two years, depending on the patient's age, skin type and lifestyle.
