Self-care and convalescence guidelines
Avoid touching the injection sites with unwashed hands, do not wear make-up for 12 hours, and refrain from strenuous exercise, sauna sessions and exposure to extreme cold for the first 48 hours to minimise the risk of swelling. It is particularly important not to massage your forehead and not to lie flat for the first 4 hours after the injection to prevent the substance from spreading.

Who can undergo the treatment?
To undergo medical injection treatments, you must be over 18 years of age, in good health and generally well. We do not treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The ideal candidate is someone who is experiencing a loss of volume, has prominent blood vessels or very thin skin on their hands. Prior to treatment, we will assess your medical history to rule out any autoimmune diseases or active skin infections that could affect the procedure.

How long does a muscle-relaxing treatment on the forehead last?
The duration varies from person to person, but the muscle-relaxing effect generally lasts between 3 and 5 months. The body then breaks down the substance naturally.
When will the results of the treatment be visible?
The very first signs that the muscles are beginning to relax become apparent after 3 to 5 days. The full results can only be assessed after two weeks.
Can you use a frown line patch instead?
A wrinkle patch may provide a very short-lived, temporary lifting effect overnight, but it cannot be compared to a medical procedure that treats the root cause – the muscle activity beneath the skin.
How can I avoid a heavy forehead after the treatment?
By consulting an anatomically knowledgeable and qualified practitioner who adjusts the dosage and selects the correct points, the risk of heavy eyebrows or drooping eyelids is drastically reduced.
Can fillers be used for forehead wrinkles?
Yes. If the wrinkles are deep and static (visible when the muscle is relaxed), a filler may be needed to fill out the skin fold from within and create a smoother surface. Sometimes both techniques are combined.
Is it common to have a manicure?
It is a very common and popular treatment, but often receives less attention than facials. Many people place great importance on looking after their face, only to realise later that their hands (wrinkled hands) do not match the rejuvenated appearance of their face.
Can you massage your hands yourself after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, your injection specialist will massage your hands to ensure the product is distributed evenly. We recommend that you avoid pressing or massaging the area firmly yourself for the first few days, to allow the filler to settle exactly where it has been medically administered.
