The first step is a consultation with a plastic surgery specialist. You choose whether you want to book an online appointment or meet us in person at the clinic. During the appointment, you will be given medical information about risks, current waiting times and which techniques are best for you.
You will be given a specific treatment proposal tailored to your body. After the consultation, you will have at least seven days to consider the matter and decide, at your leisure, whether you wish to give your consent.

Once the reflection period is over, your operation will be booked. You will be given clear instructions, which include a strict requirement to stop smoking four weeks before and after the operation.
The day of the operation
Safe care at the clinic
You will be admitted to hospital and meet your surgeon and anaesthetist. The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic, usually takes 1–2 hours, and the incisions are strategically concealed within the hairline.
After the operation
Awakening and initial rest
You will rest in our monitored recovery ward. A pressure bandage will be applied around your head to minimise swelling. Most people are able to go home the same day with prescribed pain relief.
Recovery & healing
Self-care and convalescence guidelines
For the first few weeks, you should sleep with the head of the bed raised. You should avoid physical exercise, activities that raise your heart rate and heavy lifting for at least 4–6 weeks.
Monitoring & results
Medical check-up and final assessment
We will schedule regular check-ups to remove any staples or stitches from your scalp and monitor the healing process. After around six months, you will be invited to a final check-up.

Who is eligible for a brow lift?

Are there any non-surgical forehead lifts (forehead lift, Botox, eyebrow lift)?
Yes, for patients with a slight drooping of the eyebrows, injection treatments using muscle relaxants (sometimes referred to as a forehead lift, Botox or eyebrow lift) can be used. By relaxing the muscles that pull the eyebrows downwards, the forehead muscle is allowed to lift the eyebrows by a few millimetres. However, the result is temporary (lasting for around 3–4 months) and can never provide the same extensive, lasting anatomical lift of the tissue as a surgical operation does.
How do I know if I need a forehead lift or an eyelid lift?
This is the most common question we receive. If the distance between your eyebrow and your eyelashes is short, and the eyebrow sits below the edge of the eye socket, it is often the forehead tissue that has sagged. In that case, a forehead lift is the correct anatomical solution. If the eyebrow sits high, but the skin of the upper eyelid still rests on the lashes, an eyelid lift is the correct procedure. The doctor will take clinical measurements of this during your consultation.
Will the county council cover the cost of my operation (forehead lift)?
As a rule, the county council only covers the cost of operations if they are deemed strictly medically necessary. For the forehead, this usually means that the skin must droop so heavily that it seriously and demonstrably obscures the field of vision, causing problems in everyday life. Purely cosmetic procedures to restore a previous profile are performed exclusively in the private sector and are paid for by the patient themselves.
What will my forehead lift scars look like?
The location of the incisions depends on the technique used. In keyhole surgery (endoscopic forehead lift), three to five small incisions (a few centimetres long) are made, completely hidden behind the hairline.
How much does a brow lift cost, and what is included in the price?
Our forehead lift prices start from SEK 64,900 (for the endoscopic method under general anaesthetic).
