What should I consider after an injection treatment with fillers?

There are a number of things you need to consider after an injection treatment with fillers. If you follow the advice, you will minimise the risk of swelling and infection, and the results will be as good as possible. The final result will not be visible immediately but after about a week.

Things to consider after fillers

  • Do not touch or poke the treated area.
  • Do not wear make-up on the day of the injection treatment to avoid the risk of infection.
  • Avoid sunbathing for at least a week after treatment.
  • Avoid saunas for the next few days as this may cause more swelling.
  • Avoid high-intensity exercise for the next few days. Exercise can cause the treated area to swell.
  • Alcohol can make you a little more swollen and should therefore be avoided for the next 24 hours.
