Hi, just had a face, neck and nose surgery by Jonas R. Too early to say anything about the end result yet but he is magical in his practice so it can only be the best. I have never been treated so well and taken care of, all the way from the first consultation, surgery planning, reception, the surgery team, the two-night stay. First class VIP feeling right through including the environment which is also TopNotch, private room with TV "sea view" and large veranda/balcony. They have their own chef who prepares wonderful food based on wishes and possible allergens. Room service 24/7 Super professionals the whole team I must say. I will definitely come back here again. Kind regards, AnnaPosted on Google![]()

So professional, nice treatment from start to finish. Dr. Heden inspires great confidence and I received great information after the operation about how it went. The anesthesia and surgical staff were fantastic, I felt so calm and felt safe in their hands. The care in the nursing ward after the operation was top notch, nice, safe and good breakfast🌸+0Posted on Google![]()

World class on-site surgery. A professional clinic with Sweden's most skilled and experienced doctors. I have had surgery at other clinics but have not experienced skill and service at this level. Big thanks to Per Hedén and the rest of the staff.Posted on Google![]()

Modern business where everything is new and except for the staff, they are old in the paperclip, incredibly experienced and in sync from the reception, nurses, nurses, anesthesia staff and surgeons. No questions are stupid, and they have a rock-solid understanding of pain relief. When the breakfast tray arrives after waking up, you become a little religious with happiness.Posted on Google![]()

Nice staff throughout the clinic and good aftercare, responds quickly to emails. Lovely Riikka operated on me after the effects of childbirth I had a few years earlier. It was nice to be operated on in an environment that is not depressing and with staff/surgeons who are committed.
What does treatment with Juläine involve?
Juläine is an advanced, collagen-stimulating treatment based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). When this biocompatible material is injected into the deeper layers of the skin (the dermis), it acts as a physiological catalyst. The substance triggers the body’s own fibroblasts to gradually produce new collagen, which restores lost volume and tightens the tissue from within over time. The method has been scientifically proven to build a long-term and discreet structural foundation in the skin.
Why consider PLLA injections?
The reasons for seeking a tissue-stimulating treatment vary from person to person. Often, it is because people experience an age-related reduction in facial volume and skin elasticity, and wish to see a gradual restoration. Many people choose a PLLA treatment precisely because the effect is built up naturally by the body itself over several months, rather than providing an immediate and drastic increase in volume. We listen to your individual reasons and objectively assess whether the method is anatomically suitable for achieving your goals.
Our methods for PLLA injections
To achieve physiological tissue stimulation, we use selected techniques and preparations, tailored to the skin’s structure and the area to be treated.
Injection with Juläine
We use a blunt cannula to distribute Juläine evenly into the deeper layers of the skin. This minimises tissue trauma and creates the conditions for widespread collagen stimulation across large areas.
Combination therapies
In some cases, PLLA treatment can be combined with other methods, such as ultrasound, to address the skin’s structure on several levels. Your specialist will assess whether a standalone course of treatment or a combination is best suited to your skin type.
A clinic full of expertise
Advanced anatomical knowledge and a thorough understanding of tissue-stimulating substances are required to administer PLLA injections correctly. At The Faculty, you will only be treated by registered doctors and injection nurses with specialist training in collagen-stimulating techniques. Our clinical approach prioritises your safety, strict hygiene procedures and complete transparency at every stage.
Price of a PLLA treatment
The final cost is based on the specific amount of material required to rebuild the structure of your particular skin. As each treatment plan is tailored to your individual physiology, you will be given an exact cost estimate during your initial consultation.

Juläine body
from 12,000 SEKJulaine is a poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator. The body variant is used on the body, for example on the upper arms, stomach or thighs where the skin has lost firmness.
Pre-treatment consultation
Before any injection treatment with us, you must first book a mandatory consultation with one of our injection nurses, either in person at the clinic or via video link. We will go through how the injection works from a medical perspective and assess what is anatomically possible.
As this is a cosmetic injection, under Swedish law you are entitled to at least 48 hours’ reflection period following the consultation. This ensures that you have time to consider all the information at your leisure before deciding to give your consent.
Juläine
Step by step
We follow a standardised medical protocol to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety throughout your treatment process.
01. Medical assessment
The process begins with a consultation with a registered injection nurse or specialist doctor. We analyse the structure of your skin, rule out any contraindications and draw up a clear injection plan.
02. Time to think it over and prepare
Once your 48-hour cooling-off period has passed, you are welcome to return. You should avoid taking blood-thinning medication in the days leading up to your appointment to minimise the risk of bleeding and bruising at the injection sites.
03. On the day of treatment
Our staff will thoroughly clean the relevant area using clinical, antibacterial products. Depending on which areas are to be injected, we may apply a medical anaesthetic cream to make you more comfortable.
04. Administering the injection
The specialist then strategically injects the PLLA solution into the deeper layers of the skin. This is often done using a blunt cannula, which minimises tissue trauma and ensures an even distribution of the material.
05. Immediately after the incident
Some swelling and mild redness are to be expected immediately after the procedure. Your practitioner will carry out a specific tissue massage and you will be given detailed instructions on how to massage the area yourself over the coming days.
06. Follow-up and results
As collagen stimulation occurs in stages, a follow-up appointment is often recommended after a couple of months. At that point, we examine the physiological effect on the tissue and objectively assess whether further treatment is required.
Results of treatment with Juläine
The effects of a collagen-stimulating treatment are not immediate. It usually takes several months for the body’s fibroblasts to build up enough new collagen for the tissue to show signs of structural densification. During the consultation, we look at objective medical images, such as before-and-after photographs, to demonstrate how the physiological progression of the process might look over time. We always take care to emphasise that these examples show individual outcomes, and that your body’s own biological response determines the final result.
Our specialists in injection treatments
At our clinic, treatments are carried out by a carefully selected team of medical experts. Your injections are administered by registered specialist doctors and injection nurses who possess in-depth knowledge of pharmacology and anatomy. This expertise is essential for ensuring a high clinical standard.
Who is eligible for treatment?
To book an appointment for aesthetic injection treatments, you must be over 18 years of age and in good general health. During a clinical assessment, we evaluate the condition of your skin and your anatomical characteristics. As the product relies on the body’s immune response to produce collagen, this treatment is not suitable if you suffer from certain autoimmune diseases or have active skin infections. Our medical responsibility is to ensure that the procedure is a safe and physiologically appropriate option for your particular body.
Risks and complications
As with all injection treatments, there are medical risks. Expected side effects following injection include localised redness, swelling, tightness and possible bruising at the injection sites during the first few days. There is also a risk of small subcutaneous lumps (nodules) forming if the material is not distributed evenly throughout the tissue. To counteract this, your own efforts in performing specific tissue massage after your appointment are absolutely crucial for safety. Your practitioner will provide detailed information on these aspects and how we prevent any complications.
Other collagen-stimulating treatments
If our assessment indicates that Juläine or PLLA is not the best method for your skin type, we offer other types of tissue stimulation. Our qualified specialists carry out treatments such as [Link to Profhilo for surface-level moisture control, or PRP (autologous blood plasma) to promote cell regeneration. Together, we will identify the most physiologically appropriate option for you.

Frequently asked questions about Juläine and PLLA
Frequently asked questions and answers about Juläine and PLLA
What is a collagen-stimulating treatment?
It is a collective term for methods which, unlike traditional fillers that merely provide immediate hyaluronic acid volume, are designed to stimulate the skin’s own cells (fibroblasts) to produce new collagen over the long term. This results in a gradual increase in the skin’s density.
In practical terms, how does a PLLA treatment work?
The liquid is usually injected using a blunt needle into the deeper layers of the skin (the dermis). The procedure itself usually takes 30 to 45 minutes, and to ensure the substance is distributed evenly, the session concludes with a very thorough massage of the treated area.
How soon will I see results?
As the product works by activating the body’s biological processes, it takes time. You may initially feel the volume of the fluid being injected, but this is absorbed within a few days. The actual physiological effect of the newly formed collagen becomes apparent gradually after 2 to 3 months.
Are multiple injections required?
To build up the skin’s structure, an initial course of treatment is usually recommended. A standard recommendation is typically two to three sessions at intervals of four to six weeks, but this is always assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the initial condition of your skin.
Is a massage at home really necessary?
Yes, the massage is absolutely crucial for your medical safety and the outcome. The particles must be evenly distributed throughout the tissue to prevent them from clumping together. You will be instructed to massage the area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days.
