Safety guarantee

You should feel safe before, during and after your treatment. At The Faculty, every decision is based on science, expertise and honesty. Our safety guarantee is our promise to you of medical quality, care and responsibility at every step.

Before your surgery

At your first appointment, you will meet with a plastic surgeon or a surgical specialist, depending on the procedure. Together, you will discuss your wishes, your medical conditions, and what is realistic to achieve. Based on this, your doctor will develop a plan that is tailored to you.

We are always honest in our recommendations. Sometimes this means advising against a procedure, for example if we do not believe the results will meet your expectations or if it cannot be performed safely based on your circumstances.

Your safety always comes first.

During your surgery

All operations are performed by plastic surgery specialists or surgical specialists, together with medical staff with extensive experience in their field. Our clinics meet high standards of safety, hygiene and equipment, regardless of whether you are undergoing a breast lift, a facelift or another surgical procedure.

After the procedure, you will be cared for by specially trained healthcare staff in our recovery and care department. During the first few days after the operation, you will have access to our surgeons and healthcare staff 24 hours a day.

Our follow-up and your safety after the operation

At The Faculty, your safety is our top priority throughout your journey with us. We closely monitor all of our patients through both routine check-ups and additional follow-up visits as needed.

Free return visits during the first year

To ensure you feel fully cared for and receive the close follow-up you need, we offer high availability with free follow-up visits throughout the first year after your surgery. You are welcome to make an appointment with both our nurses and surgeons if you have any questions or would like an extra check-up.

The path to the end result

After a surgical procedure, it is important to be patient. The final result is usually not visible until 6 to 12 months later.

  • 6 months after surgery: You will meet with your surgeon for an initial consultation and assessment of the results.
  • If necessary: Sometimes the body simply needs more time to heal fully, so we will schedule another follow-up visit later to make a final assessment.

During the return visit, you and your surgeon will review how the result relates to the individual conditions, expectations and plans that you discussed together during your first consultation.

If the result deviates from the plan

Our goal is always for you to feel satisfied and for the agreed result to be achieved. If the expected result has not been achieved, in some cases corrective surgery may be necessary.

  • Medical assessment: It is always the surgeon who makes the medical decision whether a correction is appropriate, and if so, what is included within the framework of a free correction.
  • Clinic conference in case of disagreement: If you and your surgeon have different views on the final outcome and next steps, we will escalate the matter to an internal clinic conference. Where all surgeons at The Faculty come together to contribute their combined expertise and make an objective, joint assessment.
