Consultation and analysis
You’ll meet with an expert who will assess your initial condition. We’ll ensure that your skin and hair are suitable for the treatment, whether it’s for removing facial or body hair.
Before your procedure
You will be instructed to shave the area carefully one to two days before your appointment. It is also strictly forbidden to wax, pluck the hair or expose the skin to direct sunlight in the weeks leading up to your appointment.
At the clinic
When you arrive, we’ll adjust the machine’s settings (wavelength and energy) to suit your specific skin tone. You’ll be given protective goggles to shield your eyes from the intense light.
Implementation
The practitioner moves the laser handpiece across the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, where it is converted into heat to deactivate the follicle. The cooling mechanism in the handpiece ensures that the skin remains cool throughout the procedure.
Recovery & healing
Afterwards, your skin may be slightly red and feel warm, much like a mild sunburn. This usually subsides quickly. You can resume your normal activities straight away, but you should avoid saunas and strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours.
Upcoming sessions
The laser only works on hairs in the active growth phase. To treat all hair follicles, a course of treatment involving several sessions is therefore always required, usually at intervals of around four to eight weeks.
