First, the tissue is treated with focused ultrasound (Sofwave). The energy penetrates beneath the skin’s surface and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a noticeable lift above the eyebrows, along the jawline and on the neck.
Collagen-stimulating injections
As a second step, we use a biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid, PLLA (Sculptra). This substance works in the skin over the long term to build up volume and further boost the body’s own collagen production.

Pre-treatment consultation
Before we begin The Faculty Exclusive, we arrange an initial consultation. During this consultation, we assess the condition of your skin and ensure that the treatment is medically suitable for your anatomy. You will be given full details of how the treatment works and what results you can realistically expect.
As the treatment involves injections, you are by law always entitled to a cooling-off period of at least 48 hours before you can give your consent and book your first treatment appointment.
Treatment for a turkey neck without surgery
A very common area that patients wish to improve is the skin on the neck, often referred to as a ‘turkey neck’. In many cases, it is possible to treat a turkey neck without surgery using our combined technique, as the ultrasound has a deep tightening effect on the neck and jaw area. For mild to moderate sagging, the results are very good.
In cases of more pronounced excess skin, we carry out a thorough medical assessment. Sometimes, surgery is the best option for achieving the desired contour. We can also discuss whether muscle-relaxing injections (Botox for a turkey neck) might be a suitable addition to your treatment plan.

Consultation and assessment
We begin by assessing the structure of your face and discussing your aesthetic goals. You will be given detailed information about the procedures and time to think things over during your consideration period.
Preparations
Before your appointments, we recommend that you avoid blood-thinning medication, alcohol and certain dietary supplements for at least a week. This minimises the risk of bruising from the injections.
Step 1: Ultrasound treatment
During your first treatment session, we will carry out the ultrasound treatment on your face and neck. The energy heats the tissue and triggers the skin’s firming process. This stage requires no recovery time.
Step 2: The first injection
One week after the ultrasound treatment, you will return to see us. We will administer the biostimulating PLLA injection to provide structure and stimulate collagen production.
Step 3: The second injection
To achieve the best possible, long-lasting results, a further injection treatment is carried out eight weeks after the first one.
Monitoring & results
You can usually return to work straight away after each session. Your skin will then gradually improve over the next six months. We’ll book a final check-up to assess your skin tightening results together with you.
